Today’s card comes from “The Enchanted Map Oracle Cards” by Colette Baron-Reid, published by Hay House. The card pulled is Talisman.
When Talisman charms its way into your life, its presence shines a light on to the paths we choose to walk in life. You are being encouraged to recognize when you are on–and off–path. This card suggests the signs are always present when you experience both. Are you taking the time to recognize the patterns?
In some ways, this card reminds me of the Hermit card in Tarot. One of the messages of the Hermit is that we gain wisdom from life experience. Talisman says the same thing: every step we take is a lesson learned. With that in mind, is there really such a thing as a right step or a mis-step–a right choice or a wrong choice?
As the woman steps onto the yin-yang symbol on her path, she also knows that as she become more conscious, more awake, more aware, she sees that everything she experiences in life–no matter how it appears in the moment–is part of her evolution, her journey to Wholeness.
She shines her light, the light of her knowledge, the knowledge she has gained from taking life step-by-step, which aids her in her present moment (where she is) and prepares her for what potentially lies ahead (where she goes from this point).
And she knows this: Just as she walks her path alone, so do we all. It is, after all, the journey of the Self. Knowing this, she shines her light as a way of being an example, a way of saying, “If I can do this, so can you.”
For that is a Universal Truth: If one can do it, all can do it. It is a matter of making the choice–and taking the steps.
What step will you take today?
