Today’s Tarot: Your Day of Options

The 2 of Swords, from the Witches Tarot.

The 2 of Swords, from the Witches Tarot.

Our card for today, the 2 of Swords, comes from the Witches Tarot.

When the 2 of Swords crosses your path, you may be faced with options, and needing to make a choice. The 2 of Swords is known as “indecision,” so a choice is either not readily apparent (the woman is blindfolded), or something else needs to happen in order for you to make up your mind.

Other meanings:

Sharing your ideas and thoughts. Conflicts and feuds. Butting heads with others. Stalemate. You may have to just “agree to disagree.” Not seeing clearly. This card can suggest you may be turning a blind eye, burying your head in the sand, or in some form of denial about a situation. Blind spots. A contract that needs to be read thoroughly before signing (the fine print).

Coaching Question:

You may be looking at things as “either-or.” Is there a way the situation can be “and”? Is there a way to “marry” the two options–and get the best of both worlds?

Spirituality:

Go within to make decisions today. Clarity comes from insight (inner sight). Don’t judge things based on how they appear; things are not always as they seem. Perhaps now is not the time to decide. Sitting–and being okay–with indecision. The best way to move through indecision is to embrace it–not fight it.

Your partner in removing the blinders,

James
