As you know, from time to time, I share some of my personal experiences of receiving messages from Spirit, with the hope that these co-incidences inspire you to see how Spirit speaks to you.

While Spirit gives me most of my messages through dreams or cards (and sometimes both), another way is through license plates.
Aside from my usual messages through dreams and cards (Tarot and now Lenormand), one other way is when I’m driving.
There are moments when I’m led to pay particular attention to the license plate on the vehicle in front of me. When I do so, there’s usually some connection to be made with either the letters, numbers, or both on the plate.
One time, for example, I was driving to conduct a Tarot session at a client’s home. It was raining, and raining very hard. Visibility gets challenging during a real downpour, and I can tense up a bit. During this tense moment, I was “led” to look at the license plate of the vehicle in front of me. The plate read JHM 375.
My name is James Himm Mitchell (JHM), and my birthdate is March 7, 1967. If you take 1967 and add the individual digits, you get 1 + 9 + 6 + 7 = 23; 2 + 3 = 5. So, the numbers 375 on the plate correspond to my birthdate.
When I saw that, I instantly became calm, for I knew Spirit was letting me know I was going to be okay. And the best part? That vehicle remained in front of me all the way to my destination! Definitely a moment I won’t forget any time soon.
So, I’m out on the road again today (beautiful day, by the way), and I’m feeling “led” once again to look at the plate in front of me. The plate reads IHS 869. “Feeling” that was significant, I quickly jotted it down in the pad I keep in my car to record my mileage. The letters IHS seemed familiar, and I kept racking my brain to figure out how I knew them.
And then I remembered. They are on some of the cards in one of the Tarot decks in my collection: the Tarot of the Saints, by Robert M. Place.
When I get back home, I come into my consultation room, which holds the majority of my decks. Finding the bag that houses my copy of the Tarot of the Saints, I begin going through the cards. And then I find it: the Ace of Coins.
The image on the card has, what Place refers to as, a golden monstrance, which holds a host that displays the monogram of Jesus—IHS. These are the first three letters of “Ihsus,” which is his name in Greek.
Playing with the numbers 869, I add them together: 8 + 6 + 9 = 23; 2 + 3 = 5 (Where have I seen that one before?). The number 5, for me, can represent the physical and/or material, as it is associated with the 5 physical senses.
Taking the pair, I see it as Jesus the Christ (IHS) in physical form (the number 5)–the “body” of Christ. Just like the piece of unleavened bread that is miraculously transformed during the Eucharist into the body of Christ, which is illustrated in the Ace of Coins.
And another thing: I pulled The Hierophant this morning as my card of the day; the card is Trump (or Major Arcana) 5.
How interesting that on Good Friday I would pull The Hierophant and then have a license plate lead me to the Ace of Coins—a sign of the Christ.
Signs and wonders, indeed…
