Happy Monday! It’s time for a new weekly Tarot forecast!
By now, you’re no stranger to how I roll doing these readings, but if this is your first time dropping in, here’s how I conduct our weekly reading:
I take the entire deck (this week, I’m using the Robin Wood Tarot by Robin Wood) and separate it into three piles:
- The first pile being the cards of the Major Arcana, will represent this week’s Theme;
- the second pile being the Court Cards (which I also call the People cards), which will be our Approach towards the week;
- and the third pile being the remaining Minor Arcana cards, the card here will indicate a Possible Challenge we’ll face this week.
Here’s the video presentation of this week’s reading:
If you prefer to read the post, here it is:
Our cards for this week are:
- Theme: The Star
- Approach: King of Pentacles
- Challenge: 3 of Wands

Your Week in Tarot: The Star, King of Pentacles, and 3 of Wands, from the Robin Wood Tarot by Robin Wood.
The Star, representing our Theme, is a card that can suggest a hope or wish you have may be fulfilled. Things are turning around for the better. This is a time for being optimistic and having high hopes for the future. Now is the time to trust that the Universe is supporting you. Count your lucky stars!
For my spiritual seekers, this card is a request to connect yourself to the Cosmic Consciousness. Our lady on the card has one foot in the water and one on land, which is the balance of the spiritual and the physical/material.
For my metaphysical dabblers and practitioners, the Star encourages you to learn and develop skills connected to the spiritual sciences: astrology, numerology, Tarot, Reiki, or some other forms of esoterica and healing.
Whatever your career pursuits (be they metaphysical in nature, or something more conventional), the Star can suggest now is the time to get out there and be noticed! This is a card of visibility and exposure (symbolized by our lady friend being naked), for being recognized and achieving some form of “celebrity status.” This card highlights all aspects of the media. Your star could be on the rise and now is your time to shine!
Our Approach card for the week is the King of Pentacles—which if you recall, was our Approach card last week.
Our King sits on his throne, surrounded in luxury. He’s got it good—this is the life! He’s earned all he has through his hard work and effort.
Living and working in the realm of Pentacles (material resources), he knows that life isn’t just about constant acquisition—he also values taking the time to enjoy his wealth and abundance (which isn’t just monetary—although he will tell you that it doesn’t hurt to have money, honey!)
In the past, our King would’ve told you that time is just like money—you invest it and spend it just the same. Now, though, he has reached a certain level of maturity (being a King) and knows that time, in some cases, is more valuable than money.
His thought is that we can always make money—but we all have the same amount of time. What are you doing with the time you have? What do you invest it in—and spend it on?
If you take a moment to reflect on this, you will find—just like with the things you buy—what you really value. The King of Pentacles is asking us to consider the value we place on things this week.
What do you value?
When you see our Possible Challenge card, the 3 of Wands, on your horizon, you may be waiting for your ship(s) to come in. You are beginning to see the results (the number 3) of the work you have put into a situation–but there may be additional elements you still need to wait on.
This is a wonderful card for practitioners of the Law of Attraction, as the 3 is the number of abundance and manifestation (its connection to the third card in the Major Arcana, the Empress). It is a time of increase.
You may also be needing and/or gaining the support of others at this time.
This card says that now is the time to give birth to that new enterprise (the suit of Wands representing business). Some of the enterprises I associate with this card can involve import/export, anything to do with shipping, or the internet. Part of the process is to consider what the vision is for this enterprise (most enterprises have a vision and mission statement).
If self-employment or entrepreneurship is not your thing, this card can also indicate looking for work. This is a time for you to explore all options and broaden your horizons in your job search.
No matter the situation, prospects for the future look very promising.
“The future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades.”
And that wraps up another weekly reading. I look forward to sharing this space here with you again next week!
Until then…have a Tarot-tastic week!
