While training to become a Certified Angel Card Reader™, my collection of angel card decks began to expand. This was, in part, due to some decks that came with purchasing the course, but also decks that I purchased myself.

I was working with three angel card decks at the same time, pulling cards from each every day. Pictured: Cards from the Daily Guidance from Your Angels Oracle Cards; the Angel Prayers Oracle Cards; and the Angel Reading Cards.
Since my training, I’ve incorporated pulling angel cards, just as I’ve done with both Tarot and Lenormand, as a part of my personal daily routine. Unlike my pulls with Tarot and Lenormand, where I use one deck at a time and rotate them out periodically, I’ve been using three angel card decks simultaneously.
Recently, I posted an article on my blog that highlighted a reading for a client consisting of one Tarot card, a line of 3 Lenormand cards, and an angel card, each answering the same question in that deck’s own distinctive voice.
As I sat shuffling the three decks for my daily draw today, I reflected on that post, and suddenly felt I needed to just use one angel card deck at a time, just as I’m doing with the Tarots and Lenormands in my card collections.
And then came the question: Which one of the three do I focus and concentrate on?
Currently, the three decks I’m using for my daily draws are the Daily Guidance from Your Angels Oracle Cards, the Angel Prayers Oracle Cards, and the Angel Reading Cards. I draw one card from each, laying them in a row, answering the question, “Angels, what messages do you have for me today?” I then record that information in my angel card reading journal.
So I thought why not let the angels help me narrow things down, by drawing a card from each deck and seeing how each informs me of which deck to focus on using for my daily draws at this time.
Shuffling each of the decks, I ask, “Angels, which of these three decks is best for me to focus/concentrate on working with at this moment?”

Cupid, from the Daily Guidance from Your Angels Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue, and published by Hay House. The artwork for this card is by Kevin Roeckl.
From the Daily Guidance from Your Angels Oracle Cards, I pull Cupid.
The first impression I have with this card is that Cupid is the angel of love, and the feeling of doing what I love and doing what feels right in my heart popped up, playing on the imagery of the angel blowing bubbles, a couple of them shaped like hearts.
I actually enjoy blowing bubbles, and I have some bubble wands in the house. Seeing this image makes me think of an activity that’s like play, so the message here is to have an attitude of play with the cards, to be playful.
Seeing the angel looking like a child can suggest the message, with this deck as an option, is that it’s great for those just starting out and developing as an angel card reader, and has room for growth in the future, all of which are attributes I see with being a child in the world.

The Miracle of Nature, from the Angel Prayers Oracle Cards by Kyle Gray & Jason Mccreadie. Published by Hay House.
Moving to the Angel Prayers Oracle Cards, I draw The Miracle of Nature.
I look at the image, in which a fairy is emerging from a lotus that’s opening up. The fairy, considered “nature’s angel,” brings to my mind the idea of something being “natural.” The lotus symbolizes a period of “blossoming” and “opening up.” The message that emerges is that this deck would be a “natural” fit for someone just “opening up” and becoming receptive to messages from the angels.
My eyes fall to the text, and I see the words “fresh air,” and immediately the message comes that this deck is like “a breath of fresh air,” and that interesting things will emerge when I focus on working with this deck.
And, along the lines of emerging, the image makes me think of my own emerging–from sleep to waking, that is. I usually pull my daily cards shortly after waking, when I emerge from the bed.

Career Angel, from the Angel Reading Cards by Debbie Malone & Amalia I. Chitulescu. Published by Rockpool Publishing.
For the last card, coming from the Angel Reading Cards, I pull Career Angel.
The card strikes me immediately.
First, the title of the card speaks to me as saying this angel wants to assist me in my work as a professional angel card reader.
I see so much in the image. The first thing that strikes me is it reminds me of The Lovers card from Tarot. One of the meanings of The Lovers, for me, is being at a crossroads or fork in the road, and faced with needing to make a choice of some kind. Here, there is a man facing his Career Angel, and seeing two possible career paths—which will he choose?
It’s also like Crossroads in Lenormand, in that options and alternatives are being presented.
The image speaks to the situation I’m bringing to the table, so to speak, which is having to make a choice about which deck to focus on.
Going further, I notice that each man is dressed differently, suggesting that each path will have its own attire or dress code. Translating that to the context of the question, this is saying that each deck has its own “style,” if you will.
The man dressed in the suit can suggest something well-suited and tailor-made, and reinforces the intention with the question, about “working” with the deck that is best-suited for me at this point in time.
In terms of deck style, it could refer to a deck that’s somewhat formal and traditional in its appearance. Out of the three, that could suggest the Daily Guidance from Your Angels Oracle Cards, as Doreen Virtue’s work with the angels might be considered traditional.
The man on the other side of the card appears more casual in appearance, making me think of “business casual,” a style that comes across as more relaxed. I see this as a reference to the Angel Prayers Oracle Cards, as the creator of the deck, Kyle Gray, brings a more contemporary and youthful appearance to the images of the angels.
So I find it interesting that this card is making references to the other two decks in this way. And I also suddenly realize that the two men are walking away, down each respective path he’s chosen. It’s like the message is that I’ll be working with each of those decks at some point “down the line.”
I look at the man closest to the foreground, and see he’s even more casually dressed than his “business casual” counterpart, which suggests to me something more every day, more like a “tee shirt and jeans” kind of thing.
So, it looks like I’ll be using the Angel Reading Cards for my personal daily draws for the time being.
And, the Career Angel card is also telling me to continue posting my thoughts on cards from the other two decks as draws for my Facebook page, over on Instagram, and possibly the occasional blog post here…
