Oracle Outlook: Angel Card Reading for August 1-7, 2016

oracle outlook header-oracle of the angelsI’m SO excited to be doing this week’s reading; actually, I’ve been excited about it and looking forward to it since completing and posting last week’s reading.

Why? Because I get to use the newest Angel card deck in my collection, the Oracle of the Angels by Mario Duguay (and published by Blue Angel Publishing). I’ve had the deck for a few weeks now, pulling a card for my daily draws and using it for my personal Angel card readings to get to know it better, and thought I’d try it out in this space.

Funny story about how the deck came into my life: One night (it was a Tuesday), I was preparing for bed, and the thought popped into my mind that I had enough Tarot, Lenormand, and Angel card decks, and that I didn’t really need anymore.

Well, what did I go and think that for? Because the very next morning, I literally woke up with this overwhelming feeling that I had to get another deck–specifically an Angel card deck.

I tried to brush it aside so I could sit in meditation (having gone back to meditating first thing in the morning), but the feeling followed me there. Not knowing what deck to get exactly, I went online afterward and just started looking at images. I don’t recall how I came upon the Oracle of the Angels, but as soon as I saw scans of it, I knew it was the one.

It strikes me as very “high vibe,” and you’ll get what I mean when I go through the cards that will make up the reading.

If you’re familiar with the way I approach reading Angel cards in this space, then you know I typically use three decks. While working with this deck, I was given clear guidance to read with it in the manner I use Tarot in this space, so there will be a foundation card; three cards for the week; and then an essence card.

So, after an invocation, I’m taking the deck in hand, asking Spirit and the angels what messages are for us pertaining to the week ahead.

The video presentation of this week’s reading is below:

If you prefer to read the text, here it is for you:

After shuffling the deck and pulling the three cards for this reading, I turn the remainder of the deck over to look at the card at the bottom, which I consider the foundation for the week.

Foundation for the Week

never alone-oracle of the angelsThe card is Never Alone.

The first message that comes with this card is that the angels want you to know they are always around you. When I look at the image, I always think of our guardian angels first, as it’s my personal belief that they are the angels closest to us, as they have been “charged” to us since birth, and accompany us throughout our entire lives.

Regardless, though, whether it be your guardian angels, the archangels, or an angel you call upon in a moment of need, the angels want you to know they are ever watchful and ever-present.

Another message coming to me, with this card, is that this could be the week to either create a closer connection with your angels or strengthen the connection you already share.

The woman on the card is in a contemplative state, and it makes me think of a meditation. So, what might be helpful is something like a guardian angel meditation or something like that in which you learn the names of your guardian angels (which seems to be an increasingly popular thing these days).

I don’t personally know the names of mine (I have some ideas, but no definite confirmation), and I’m okay with that. What I do know—and this is related to the image of Never Alone—is that I can feel their presence. That’s more important to me right now.

Another message comes from the number on the card (and my angels wanted me to work with the numbers on the cards). 12, as an angel number, carries the message of keeping your thoughts positive (1) and having faith (2), as your thoughts help to create your reality. In this regard, your angels are working with you to improve something in your life.

Moving now to the three cards I pulled: the first for the beginning of the week; the second for the middle of the week; and the last to round out the rest of the week.

Cards for the Week

comfort-oracle of the angelsFor the beginning of the week, we have Comfort.

When Comfort and Never Alone appear together, they reinforce each other with the message that your angels are here to support you through a challenging experience.

The angel on Comfort is embracing a woman in some form of distress, offering her reassurance. As I look at this beautiful image, I feel a message is for you to lean on your angels for support.

The angel looking up into the light makes me think of the expression “seeing the light.” This suggests there may be a moment of enlightened clarity surrounding the challenging experience.

I also see the angel looking up as if he’s receiving some Divine instruction, inspiration, or guidance as to how to best help the situation. And just as it is for the angel, it’s the same for you: This is a visual reminder to trust the Divine presence that is guiding you at all times.

If you’re working to develop or strengthen the connection with your angels, Comfort offers the message of trusting in the guidance of your angelic companions—as well as turning over your worries to them.

The number 3 offers an additional message that the ascended masters (a nod to the angel looking up, as if to acknowledge the energy of those who have ascended) are near and want to help you. Every spiritual path has its ascended master, so if this resonates with you, consider connecting with one that you “vibe” with.

The energies of ascended masters, from my understanding, are different than angelic energy in that ascended masters were once human and walked the earth, and because of this, they tend to understand “the human condition” in ways angels do not, as angels have never incarnated (with the exceptions of Metatron and Sandalphon).

higher consciousness-oracle of the angelsMoving to the card for the middle of the week, we have Higher Consciousness.

Here, we have a similar message about the connection to your angels, as the woman on the card is connecting to the angel above her. And like the angel on the Comfort card, the angel is connecting to Divine or Source Energy. For me, this reinforces the idea that the angels act on behalf of the Divine, aiding us in connecting with Spirit.

With this card, a message is that you may receive guidance or insight that allows you to get a glimpse of the “bigger picture” of an experience you’re going through, perhaps the one hinted at in the Comfort and Never Alone cards.

Another message is for you pertaining to developing or strengthening the connection with your angels. Higher Consciousness suggests a form of meditation—and actually doing it (the woman hands symbolize work and activity, and meditation is an activity)—that allows you to tap into the energies of your angels.

The image of this card reinforces my own belief about forming the connection. We have to find the ways that raise our vibrational frequency, and as we do so, the angels come down to meet us (notice the energy between the angel and the head of the woman—that’s the space where they’re “connecting”).

One way is given to us with the card being numbered 1, which is being repeated: Keeping your thoughts positive. Positive thinking can help elevate your state of consciousness. Archangel Jophiel works with us to “beautify” our thoughts, so you might consider calling on her energy to assist you in that process.

awakening-oracle of the angelsFor the end of the week, we have Awakening.

The first thing I notice is that the woman on this card is striking a similar pose to the one on Higher Consciousness, suggesting meditation. The lotus flower is another symbol of meditation for me, as I associate it with Eastern spiritual traditions, which speak of the importance of cultivating a meditative practice. So, the message of meditation as a way to connect with your angels is being repeated.

Awakening can also be referring to having a spiritual awakening. Again, just like with Higher Consciousness, the message here is that you become aware of the spiritual implications of your experience(s) this week. The diamond sphere at the top of the card can suggest the situation becoming “crystal clear” to you, and that you see many different “facets” of the experience.

This card can suggest “waking up” and embarking on a new spiritual path. If this resonates with you, you may be called to explore different forms of meditation (the lotus), or you may find yourself being called to work with crystals and crystal energy healing.

And playing off the idea of being new on the spiritual path and crystals, Archangel Metatron assists those who are being initiated to new forms of spirituality and esoteric practices. You can call on his energy to assist you in your process of awakening.

The angel number here, 29, is a message about having faith (2) in yourself and your Divine life purpose (9). So, at the end of the week, you may receive guidance about your purpose or mission, and how you’re meant to be of service to your world.

Bringing this back to Never Alone, the blue of that card makes me think of Archangel Michael, the chief protector and guardian angel. For me, he’s also the angel who helps us gain clarity about our life purpose, as well as informing us of the very next step we need to take on that journey. Consider calling on and working with Archangel Michael, should you experience this type of unfolding this week.

To round out this reading, I’ll take the numbers on all three cards, reducing them to a number between 1 and 44 (there are 44 cards in the deck, which is an angel number that means that many angels are with you), seeing what card will be the Angelic Essence card for the week.

Angelic Essence Card for the Week

success-oracle of the angelsAdding 3 + 1 + 29, we have a total of 33. The 33rd card in the deck is Success.

Before I get to the card, I want to talk about the number. Here, we have what’s known as a Master Number (according to some, but not all, numerologists). 33 is a number of the Master Teacher and Master Healer, and is known as the “Christ” vibration.

I mention this aspect because, as an angel number, 33 means that you’re surrounded by many ascended masters. Jesus the Christ is considered an ascended master, so if you resonate with that energy (depending on your former spiritual traditions and current spiritual path), you’re being given the message to consider working with that energy.

Turning to the card, again we have a figure with an expression of being in meditation or contemplation. It looks to me like he’s radiating thought energy, reinforcing the idea that our thoughts create our reality.

The message of Success is that you see your hard work and dedication paying off. It reminds me of the spiritual principle that you only get out of a situation what you put into it. Success is a card that says you get the return of the investment of your time and energy.

As I typed that, I get the sense that Archangel Ariel, the angel of material resources, can be called upon to work with you on making the most of those valuable resources (time and energy) this week.

And, to bring this reading full circle, I’ll make reference to the rainbow on the card. As I’ve told you before, the rainbow, for me, is a symbol of the angels. When I was first introduced to my angels, they came to me in a dream (which is pretty much how everything spiritual and/or metaphysical first comes to me), and they came in the form of shafts of light, each one a different color. A rainbow, then, can mean the full spectrum of angels being with you.

Also too, the rainbow appears after a storm, so the message here is that the challenge mentioned with Never Alone and Comfort is weathered by Success—and your angels want you to know they’re with you throughout the entire experience (the entire “spectrum,” or gamut, of it).

In Closing

Love this, James.. Thank you so much for the timing… I love this more than the Lenormand readings, which I find difficult to relate to… This is wonderful…

      Hi, Maria,
Thanks so much for taking a look at the reading, especially because I was super excited to work with the deck, which I think is fabulous! I’m so glad you found resonance with the timing of the reading, and that it was helpful to you.
What I love about working with three different systems (Tarot, Lenormand, and now Angel cards) is that each one serves a section of my audience, so I’m glad you’ve found my approach with the Angel cards relatable (I know you have with my approach to Tarot, which I appreciate).
Thanks for the comment, Maria–it made my day!
      Blessings,
      James
