In my previous post, I shared the first part of the Lenormand card reading for this week’s Oracle Outlook.
Now, as a follow-up to that post, I’m going to take a look at the playing card inserts and the numbers of the cards for additional insights.
If you want to watch the video of the reading, you can check it out below.
If you prefer to read the text, here it is for you:
You may recall that the reading for the week, using the Piatnik Lenormand, consisted of Heart, Letter, Bear, Anchor, and Stars.
The focus card, Bear, informed us this could be a week to be strong and stand in our personal power. There was also the possibility that someone in a position of authority—a boss, manager, or supervisor—may have some influence this week.
The other cards around Bear suggested a work situation (Anchor), and the possibility of news (Letter) pertaining to a future goal or a wish coming true (Stars).
Aside from reading the line, from the perspective of all the pairings of the cards, I turn to the playing card inserts to see what additional information can be provided about this authority figure.
Dog is a card that can refer to a partner or companion, which would make sense if you consider the idea of feelings (Heart) being put into writing (Letter).
Given the work context of the line with Bear and Anchor, Dog can be a card of loyalty. Dog is also a card of help and support, so it could be that there’s a show of support either for—or from—this person in authority—and it’s in the form of a written message.
The written correspondence (Letter) could also be from a fan (Heart) and it could refer to the help and support (Dog) received from the influential person (Bear), which has created a strong sense of loyalty (Dog) and trust (Dog) in the person.
Dog, in this context, could make the influential person (Bear) an advisor or consultant.
On this side of the line, Bear is a suggestion that the person could be a guru (Stars) in terms of his or her work (Anchor), which has been long-term (Anchor). The person could also be an authority of some sort in the new age and metaphysical circuit (Stars) or a powerful life coach (Stars).
Another possibility is that the person is acquiring the resources (Bear) to shift the work (Anchor) online (Stars) in the future (Stars at the end of the line).
Totaling the Playing Cards
After looking at the dynamics, I like to add all the playing cards up for any last advice this feature of the Lenormand wants to share.
Here we have a card of challenge, as my go-to keyword for Snake is complication. Snake is a card that can suggest a long and winding process, which would then make the wish that could be coming true (Stars) all the better.
Snake, with the insert of the Queen of Clubs, could identify this powerful figure as a woman. Tradition holds that the Queen of Clubs also is clever, may wear glasses, and has dark hair.
Snake could also refer to my initial thoughts about being strong and standing in our personal power—because there may be a complication or entanglement of some kind being faced.
Getting to the Essence
Now that we’ve looked at the playing cards, let’s round out this week’s reading by seeing what the essence card is.
Bouquet signals a gift or surprise—something pleasant, wonderful, and attractive.
With Heart as a possible fan, and Letter about a message in writing, Bouquet can then be a show of appreciation.
With Anchor being work, and Stars possibly being a celebrity, Bouquet could then suggest the person being talented, and possibly have been awarded for his or her work.
Or the surprise could be receiving some type of award this week.
And there you have it; we’ve reached the end of this week’s reading. Thanks for joining me in this space for another Oracle Outlook; I hope you found the reading interesting, informative, and insightful.
I’m hoping you have a wonderful week, and I look forward to you joining me here again for the next Oracle Outlook!
