Since my work is a labor of love, I certainly am. And that’s a nice way to segue to this week’s Oracle Outlook. Keeping with the rotation of divination systems featured in this space, the Lenormand is the divination tool on deck to assist me this week.
The particular deck I’m working with this week is, once again, the classic Piatnik Lenormand. Taking the deck in hand, I’m shuffling the cards, asking what we might expect for the week ahead.
The video below reveals the cards in the reading:
If you prefer to read the post, here it is:
The cards for the week are: Ring, Key, Snake, Birds, and Bouquet.
My number one go-to keyword for Snake is complication, so there may be a problem taking center stage this week.
Snake, keeping with the idea of complication, can suggest the problem may be a complex one, and that working through it may be a long and winding process, perhaps taking a number of twists and turns.
Snake can also be a card of lies and deceit, going with the idea of snakes having “forked tongues.” If not an outright lie or deceit, then another possibility is that “venom is being spewed.”
Snake has the insert of the Queen of Clubs, and this can suggest that a woman may play heavily into things this week. I’ve learned that this particular woman may have dark hair and wear glasses. Going beyond the physical, she’s very clever and intelligent.
Snake can suggest there may be a “scandal” of some sort around her; it may involve her directly, or she may have more of a peripheral role in the situation.
From an emotional standpoint, Snake warns of being jealous and envious of others—or that jealousy and envy are being thrown your way from others (like “throwing shade”).
Looking at Combinations in the Line
Key can also indicate an answer or solution, which is helpful, given the possible complication of Snake. Key + Snake, however, can be read as “the answer (Key) is complicated (Snake).”
Key can also indicate a discovery or revelation, as it’s a card of truth—a sharp contrast to Snake being lies and deceit. Key + Snake, in this regard, can suggest the discovery (Key) of deceit (Snake), or the revelation (Key) of a lie (Snake).
Birds is a card of communication and conversation. With Snake being complication, I’m seeing this as a reminder of misunderstandings with communication, as Mercury has now gone retrograde.
This is further reinforced with Key + Birds being read as the importance (Key) of communication (Birds).
Birds is also a card that can point to a relationship, as there are two birds on the card. So, the trio of Key + Snake + Birds can suggest the discovery (Key) of a complication (Snake) in a relationship (Birds) that leads to a discussion (Birds).
And finally, there could be the revelation (Key) that a woman (Snake) has told a lie (Snake + Birds).
Ring is a card of commitment. I read it as an agreement, a contract, an engagement, a promise, a pledge, an oath, a vow, or a marriage.
With Snake, Ring can suggest a commitment (Ring) becomes complicated (Snake). Again, there’s a suggestion that the complication (Snake) may be another woman (Snake).
Another possibility is that an agreement (Ring) becomes complicated (Snake), possibly due to some form of deceit (Snake).
This could be reinforced when we consider Bouquet, and one of its meanings being “surprise.” Snake + Bouquet could then be read as a surprise complication.
Ring + Bouquet could then be a commitment (Ring) that comes as a surprise (Bouquet), or a surprising commitment.
Bouquet can also be a gift, and with Ring, there’s the possibility of a ring (Ring) as a surprise gift (Bouquet), suggesting a surprise engagement, someone popping the question.
The pair could also be the ring and bouquet for a wedding ceremony.
Bouquet, like Snake, is a face card, and here we have another woman (Queen of Spades). Ring + Bouquet could be a commitment (Ring) with a beautiful woman (Bouquet), as Bouquet is a card of beauty.
With this possibility, Ring + Key could be read as an important commitment, or that a commitment (Ring) is discovered/revealed (Key).
Given that we have two face cards (Snake and Bouquet), I’m looking at the card between them, which is Birds.
There’s been complications in the past (Snake as the first card could be the past) that have led to a great deal of frustration in the present (Birds in the center would be the present), which may also have to deal with being appreciated (Bouquet is a card of appreciation).
If you look at the Queens on the cards, you’ll notice that the Queen of Spades is facing the Queen of Clubs, but she’s turned away. That can be read as a disagreement between the two women, that one may not be ready to “face” the other for this conversation.
With Birds in the middle, there may be speculation about the future of this relationship.
And the trio could then be read as a complication (Snake) in a relationship (Birds) leads to a surprise (Bouquet).
Wrapping Things Up…
Looks like a week rife with possible entanglements.
But Lenormand can offer a number of possibilities, so if you’re into Lenormand and see a different scenario playing out in the cards, let me know; I’d love to hear what you’re seeing.
