Keeping with the rotating aspect of this series, this week’s reading is being done with Angel cards. The deck that’s assisting me for the reading is the Healing with the Angels Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue (and published by Hay House).
I’ve been working with this deck more these days, as a result of recently studying with Charles Virtue, son of Doreen Virtue. He works with this deck (along with his Indigo Angel Oracle Cards, a collaboration with his mother) exclusively, and I got to see him read with it in a number of ways.
I’ve had the deck for some time, and it’s been sitting on the shelf. When I first got it, I was all excited to use it–and then felt it wasn’t clicking with me, so I put it on the shelf.
Seeing Charles work with it was just the right inspiration to get me to take it off the shelf and start drawing a card daily in my personal practice, and I’ve found that I actually quite like it now.
And because of that, I felt led to use it for this week’s reading.
So, after an invocation (calling in the energies of the angels), I’m taking the deck in hand, asking Spirit and the angels what are the messages for us pertaining to the week ahead.
The video presentation of this week’s reading is below:

After shuffling the deck, I pulled three cards for this reading: the first for the beginning of the week; the second for the middle of the week; and the last to round out the rest of the week.
Cards for the Week
For the beginning of the week, we have Abundance.
As the first card in the reading, Abundance can suggest concerns regarding prosperity. More often than not, when people think of abundance, they think of financial abundance. But this card comes up as a reminder from the angels that abundance can take many forms, and come in many ways.
The image on the card has an angel playing an instrument, which, for me, can signal something “instrumental” taking place at the top of the week related to abundance.
Or it could be that the message from the angels is that we have an “instrumental” part to play when it comes to abundance. Just as we have instruments to create music, we also have instruments to create abundance.
For instance, going with the literal aspect of the picture, it could suggest a musical talent or ability being used as the instrument to create abundance. And with the musical references being made, Archangel Sandalphon, the archangel associated with music, can be called on for assistance, along with Archangel Gabriel, known to work with creative types.
Archangel Sandalphon is also known as the archangel of prayer, and prayer has something in common with music: Each is an activity that can raise our vibrational frequency.
That bit about “raising our vibes” is a message from the angels of abundance, reminding us that we have to be tuned into the frequency abundance resides in, much like tuning into a certain radio station to hear a particular style or genre of music (keeping with the musical symbology of the Abundance card).
For the middle of the week, the card is Miracles.
The first thing that comes to my mind with this card is the definition of a miracle, according to A Course in Miracles: a shift in perception.
That’s a follow-up to the previous card, Abundance, and the message about abundance being a frequency that’s tuned into.
Abundance thinking requires a shift away from thoughts of lack, and Miracles offers the message of noticing the little ways we are already abundant. This is symbolized by the border of the card having fairies all around it, as well as the fairy resting on the finger of the angel in the image.
The fairies, known as “nature’s angels,” assist us with material support and manifestation; the angel on the card, in that light, can represent Archangel Ariel, one of the angels of abundance (another nod to the Abundance card), and the angel who works closely with the fairies.
The message here is to call on Archangel Ariel and the fairies to assist us in making the energetic shifts in our consciousness that will allow for manifestations of abundance.
Miracles following Abundance can suggest that the possible instrumental event at the beginning of the week leads to a demonstration of a “miracle” midweek.
For the end of the week, we have Romance.
Here we have an interesting departure from the story being presented with the first two cards.
This card can suggest the possibility of a romance by week’s end (going with it literally), which could be a manifestation demonstration hoped for by some.
For me, personally, that doesn’t resonate, which is one of the reasons I strive to come up with other meanings for such cards.
Going with the image, which has a male angel embracing a woman, the message could be to either develop or deepen our “romance” with the angels.
Another possibility, going with the idea that angels are an extension of Spirit, is to embrace the idea that we’re spiritual beings having a human experience, and that every material and physical experience has its spiritual connection or counterpart.
And that would be the way to connect this card to the previous two.
With Abundance being the theme of the week, Romance continues the message of exploring our relationship with abundance; we may have to consider new ways of thinking (male angel) and embracing new feelings (woman) when it comes to being prosperous.
Wishing you light, love, and Angel blessings this week!
