This past week has been an intense one, with the presidential election here in the States, and the aftermath of the results. I’ve seen and heard a lot of people expressing the gamut of emotions; there’s been a lot of anger, fear, and uncertainty about the future of the United States.
And, for me, in terms of the Oracle Outlook, I find it no accident that this week’s reading is going to be done with Angel cards (keeping with the rotating aspect of the series, between Tarot, Lenormand, and Angel cards).

There has been a lot of intense emotional energy both during–and since–the presidential election in the United States.
I personally have felt, in my own quiet time, contemplating the outcome of the election, that this is the time to really lean in on Spirit for understanding the meaning of this particular outcome, and how it’s possibly going to impact my daily living.
And I know that, if I’m in that particular space, other, like-minded people may be there as well.
With that in mind, the deck that I’m choosing to assist me this week is the Daily Guidance from Your Angels Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue and published by Hay House.
So, after an invocation (calling in the energies of the angels), I’m taking the deck in hand, asking Spirit and the angels for the messages pertaining to the week ahead.
The video presentation of this week’s reading is below:
If you prefer to read the text, here it is for you:
After shuffling the deck, I pulled three cards for this reading: the first for the beginning of the week; the second for the middle of the week; and the last to round out the rest of the week.
Cards for the Week

See Only Love, from the Daily Guidance from Your Angels Oracle Cards. Artwork by John Phillip Wagner.
For the beginning of the week, we have See Only Love.
The first thing that stands out for me on this card is the full moon behind the angel in the foreground. It reminds me that, at the beginning of the week, there’s a full moon. And not just a full moon, but a super full moon. And not just a super full moon, but the super full moon of super full moons.
So, if you’re “moon sensitive” like I am (I experience either insomnia or the need for extra sleep), then you’ll want to be sure to take care of yourself this week.
The full moon is also a symbol of the intuitive or the psychic, so it can suggest being guided by our intuition this week, as our intuitive guidance can be heightened at this time. We can call on Archangel Haniel, the angel who is associated with the moon and its cycles, to assist us in working on our intuitive development.
Another thing about the full moon is that its energies can heighten not only intuitive sensitivity, but emotional sensitivity as well. We may find that we’re being triggered by people and situations during this lunar cycle.
And that makes sense, as this is an emotionally intense time, due to the results of the presidential election, as I mentioned above. While many people are happy, many are not. And with that unhappiness come fear and uncertainty, increasing the tension that’s been present throughout this contentious election period.
With that in mind, the full moon is also a time of releasing, so the angels are sending the message to release the emotional energies of fear we may be holding on to regarding the political landscape, the presidential candidates, the supporters of the candidates, those who voted, those who didn’t vote, etc.
See Only Love carries the message to “look past the seeming errors, mistakes, and misunderstandings, and see only the love within each person (including yourself).” That can be challenging, especially when you’re dealing with people who believe, think, speak, and act differently from you.
Our angels can help us with that; we can call on the angels of love (the angel has a heart with angel wings resting on the palm of her hand), especially Archangel Chamuel, whose name means “eyes of God,” to help us see things with eyes of love.

Release & Surrender, from the Daily Guidance from Your Angels Oracle Cards. Artwork by Marius Michael-George.
For the middle of the week, the card is Release & Surrender.
I love, love, love (did you notice the emphasis on love?) when a card follows up something previously said. Release & Surrender does this, coming on the heels of what I said about the full moon and releasing at the beginning of the week.
Just like the angel on the card, the message urges us to “release the challenges” that we’ve been tightly holding on to. This can be any attachments of wanting things to be something other than what they are (case in point, the election results), because those attachments can be keeping us stuck and unable to move on.
Release & Surrender reminds me of the adage “let go and let God.” When I reflect on that adage, I think of letting go of what no longer works, turning it over to Spirit and the angels, and having trust and faith that the Divine will do Its wonderful and mysterious work with what we’ve released.
It’s like “casting your cares.”
For the end of the week, the card is Ask.
In the image on the card, a young angel sits in prayer. The yellow sphere around the angel’s head could be seen as a halo (symbolizing enlightenment), but I’m seeing it as a full moon, bringing back in what was said about the full moon with See Only Love.
The visual sends an obvious message about spending time in prayer this week.
In my past, when I was faced with a challenge, I would take all sorts of actions to turn things around, and when it seemed like nothing was working, I would say, “Well, I tried everything I can think of, so I guess I’ll pray about it now.”
I’ve learned that, instead of seeing prayer as a “last resort,” praying is something I can do first. And sometimes I get the guidance (which I call “putting feet to my prayers”) during that time of petition that allows me to move through a challenge.
The full moon symbolism also bears the message of receptivity; prayer is an activity in which we talk to the Divine, and then we have to be willing to create the space to listen to the “still, small voice,” which allows us to receive the guidance we’re seeking.
The full moon, being about heightened, intuitive sensitivity, asks, “How do you receive intuitive information?” We all receive information intuitively: We may receive images (clairvoyance); we might hear words or song lyrics that bear a message (clairaudience); we might experience physical sensations in our bodies (clairsentience); or we might just have a sudden “knowing” about things (claircognizance).
Again, Archangel Haniel can be called upon to assist us in determining how we best receive that type of information, and learn to develop and trust those intuitive senses.
The Ask card is a message from the angels, that again, invites us to work with them on releasing this week, as the text, in part, says, “Ask us to help you in this situation, and we will immediately go to work on your behalf.”
The angels stress this because they operate on the Law of Free Will, which means they honor our free will choices and don’t intervene in our lives without an invitation (also known as an invocation).
What will you ask your angels to help you with this week?
And, with that, I’ll bring this week’s reading to a close.
Wishing you light, love, and Angel blessings this week.
This was a great reading! Something to hold onto this week.
Love you, Denise
